The Breakfast Club

After seeing Justsaygem's post about the breakfast club (You can find that here), I knew that I would have to visit on my upcoming trip to London. It looked pretty unbelievable. There are quite a few of them dotted about various places in London, but we decided to go to the one in Canary Wharf as we thought it would be less busy than the ones further in central London - we were right!

Named after the 80's cult classic - 'The breakfast Club', definitely lives up its name with its renowned fry ups and american style pancakes. Stepping in from Canary Wharf which is so futuristic, clean cut and modern its like taking a step back in time. With its retro decor, it gives the feel of a 60's social club - without the stench of stale alcohol. We were sat in a dimly lit booth in front of the stage, which includes a drum set and a cardboard cut of out Austin Powers - oh behave!

We browsed through the array of drinks on the extensive menu. From cocktails, juices to good old english tea The Breakfast Club has it all. As it was pretty early, we ordered a latte and an lemon and mint ice tea.

This is my 'why are you taking a picture of me texting' face. On opening the menu, there was just so much to choose from and unlike someone, I was torn between pancakes and scrambled egg on toast with avocado. I stuck to my guns and went for the latter while Lewis went for the all american which consisted of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, streaky bacon and maple syrup.

This was honestly the best breakfast Ive ever had, so tasty! I tried some of the pancakes too and would totally get that next time. As agnes would say, THEY'RE SO FLUFFY IM GONNA DIE. Honestly.

Would you recommend anywhere else in London to try?
